Browser Panels

Embed web pages right inside your layouts

Open localhost URLs and web pages as embedded panels right inside your layout. See your app running next to its logs without switching windows.

Opening a Browser Panel

There are several ways to open a browser panel:

  • Click a project link's globe icon to open it as an embedded panel
  • Use MCP: "Open localhost:3000 in the browser"
  • Right-click a project link and choose "Open in Embedded Browser"

Navigation

Each browser panel has a URL bar and navigation controls. Type a URL and press Enter to navigate, or use the back/forward buttons. Use the reload button or ⌘R to refresh the page.

DevTools

Click the hammer icon in the browser panel header (or press ⌘⌥I) to toggle the built-in DevTools. This opens an in-page inspector for debugging HTML, CSS, JavaScript, network requests, and console output.

Auto-Retry for Localhost

When you open a localhost URL that isn't ready yet, the browser panel automatically retries until the server starts responding. This means you can open a browser panel alongside the server that serves it, and the page will load as soon as the server is up.

Popup Support

If a page opens a popup window (e.g., an OAuth login flow), it opens as an overlay within the browser panel. A "Popup Window" bar appears at the top to dismiss it when done.

Open in External Browser

Click the external link icon in the browser header (or press ⌘O) to open the current URL in your default browser. Useful when you need full browser DevTools or extensions.
