Run AI coding agents as interactive panels right inside your layouts, alongside your project logs and browser panels.

Supported Agents

• Claude Code - Anthropic's coding agent
• Gemini CLI - Google's coding agent
• OpenAI Codex - OpenAI's coding agent

Coda auto-detects which agents you have installed. You can also use a plain terminal as an agent panel.

Adding an Agent Panel

Click the robot icon in any panel's header bar to add an AI agent. Choose your agent type, and it opens as a full terminal panel in your layout. The agent runs in your project's working directory with full access to your codebase.

Session Resume

Agent sessions persist across layout switches and app restarts. When you reopen a layout, your agent picks up right where you left off - including conversation history and context.

Voice Input

Click the microphone button or press Option+. to dictate using voice. The audio is transcribed and sent to whichever panel has focus — whether that's an agent terminal or a browser input field.

MCP Integration

When MCP is enabled, your AI agents can control Coda directly - starting projects, checking logs, opening browser panels, and more. The agent is aware of your workspace context automatically.
